I am also including a new quadstar intake plenum that will eliminate some of the emissions crap. I am not installing it because future owner might want to have an emissions test. there are a few other mods that i will discuss with new owner. As you can tell the truck has been very well maintained. For that last 10 years or so it has been my winter driver for snow and rain as i dont drive my car in those conditions. I also needed it for occasional cross country trips. It is a reliable work truck and runs better than any 6.5 you will ever see. more power and torque than a big block or a stock first gen duramax with awesome fuel mileage. i can get 18 mpg if im on it hard and as high as 26 if i baby it on the highway in econ mode. I had no intention of selling it. My intention was to transplant the engine and trans into my hummer H1 but after a lot of research theres too many truck specific items that wouldnt be able to fit and i think it would make someone an awesome truck. I have also acquired the last p400 for my hummer so i have no need of my 6.5. I would also just as soon keep it but the HOA wont let me keep an extra vehicle and i cant move right now so i am forced to sell. I will include either the set of wheels from the suburban or the 2500 but the ones on it currently have better tires. there are a few things that will need to be done to it to make it 100% in my opinion. You may want to do the following;
New ac compressor needs to be filled and serviced. i dont have the equipment to do this but i am including 1 new ac recharge kit and a partial.
Re-learn procedure or calibrate the fuel level sender (not currently accurate)
re-learn procedure for the throttle position sensor. I have tried doing this without a scanner but it doesnt stick. truck still runs and drives fine.
re-time the fuel injection pump. I was not planning on selling so i did an optical timing bump. Truck runs perfect as is but its something to keep in mind as it might throw a code.
I would have all the fluids flushed in the next 5k miles or so and have the trans filters changed because thats a good idea with a new trans. All fluids are currently new.
Paint is bad and it needs a paint job. My plan was to bedliner the truck from top to bottom instead of paint. I am including a couple full sets and the spray gun and accessories to do Als spray on bedliner over the whole truck if the new owner wants it.
truck has nothing but the slightest of surface rust and no oil or fluid leaks.
window washer reservior leaks and im including a new one but rock auto sent one without the low level sensor so im leaving it up to new owner as to options for that.
Engine was installed at 160,000 miles and new trans was installed at 205,000 miles. truck has 206,000 miles on it now and i will be daily driving it as the weather starts to change.
Truck has been in our family since new. I bought it from father in law at 60,000 miles and he got it from his father.
If you know about the 6.5 you will prob know that the 1995 was one of the worst of possibly the worst engine gm has ever produced, I had all of the problem you will commonly find online and then some. I built this truck to eliminate all of those headaches. It runs like a champ and is the best sounding 6.5 you will ever hear. The hummer h1 engine installed in it is the best outside of a p400 and will give you many years of trouble free life. I only have 45k on the engine at this point, and 500 on the new trans.
Chip has 6 tunes;
emissions test
stock/ economy
tow 1
tow 2
truck pull performance 1
truck pull performance 2
I run it on tow 1 most of the time.
When i take it in the mountains it will pull at 75mph and passes pretty much any car or truck with little effort.
Methanol injection works perfectly and can be set to come on at boost or high egt or both.
I currently have only one methanol injector installed but I had the quadstar plenum made to accomodate 2. second solenoid is installed and all the spare injectors are included. I also have a ton of paperwork and receipts and instructions for all the work done as well as the haynes and chiltons manuals for the diesel and the chevy 2500 for this year. all included in the sale.
